Advertise on PhilaPUG

PhilaPUG wants to help you promote your company's products. For every donation of PDA-related hardware, software, or accessories made to PhilaPUG, we'll place your advertising banner at the top of our web page – and we'll keep it there for up to 90 days. And your donation will also be spotlighted in an upcoming PhilaPUG meeting when we use the products as giveaway items. It's our way of saying thank you for helping us promote our group with door prizes.

Here's more on how it works:

  • Your company contacts PhilaPUG identifying the item or items that you would like to donate.
  • You also provide PhilaPUG with an advertising banner graphic and the URL to which the banner should link. If possible, we recommend a customize URL that will let you know that the visitor to your website came from PhilaPUG.
  • Banner ads should be 468x60 pixels in size and may be animated gifs. Banners or graphics that are not 468x60 pixels in size may be adjusted by PhilaPUG so that they fit within those dimensions.
  • PhilaPUG will post your banner ad and link it to your website for up to 90 days (length is based on the current retail value for the donated items).
  • Your donated items will be given away to a randomly selected PDA user at one of our upcoming meetings. Your product will also be highlighted and/or demo'd during the meeting. Note: some PDA items may be specific to a certain handheld model; when this is the case, every effort will be made to ensure that the recipients will be able to use the products with their respective PDAs.
  • You will receive the names and e-mail addresses of those who received your donations. In cases where a registration code is required to activate software, PhilaPUG will help facilitate your getting this information to the winners.
  • Just so you know, our group policy is that free giveaways should remain free giveaways. We discourage our winners from selling donated items or posting them on eBay. If they no longer have a use for the item, they're welcome to donate it to someone else in the group.
